Skier Trench

As the most popular route to the Ostrander Ski Hut, the Bridalveil Creek Trail, the snow is packed into a deep trench by the hundreds of skiers who have passed this way since the last storm. Note that the pictures of the Merced Crest Trail, taken one day later, are completely untracked and pristine though it has been several weeks since the last snow storm.
