People insist on telling me that the bears are not active at high elevations in the winter and sometimes the ranger naturalists are even surprised when I say I saw bear tracks, but during this recent spring weather, we kept seeing bear tracks all over on our trip to the Ostrander Ski Hut. The weather turned a lot more wintry within a week, though, as you can see in this collection of images from February 9-15.
